It all began in a smithy in Gothenburg in Sweden back in 1847. E A Rosengrens Kassaskåpsfabrik, which was the original company name, grew very quickly and new products such as safe deposit lockers, vault doors and heavier safes, took shape.

In 1897 Edvin Albert Rosengren, the owner, received a gold medal at the Stockholm exhibition for a highly decorative and efficient safe. Edvin Albert Rosengren was an outgoing person, an industrialist with a good head for business. At the start of the 1900s he turned his attention to export markets and delivered safe deposit lockers and vault doors, among other products,  to Russia. So already at that time Rosengrens was an international company

Since then much has happened and from being a company with traditional security products, we can today offer more functional and complete solutions. A broad competence, ongoing product development and a widespread service administration, make it possible to offer security to every customer's needs.

Rosengrens was acquired by the Gunnebo group in 1994.
