Gunnebo is committed to offering employees the opportunity to develop their skills and potential.
Responsibility for the development and professional training of Gunnebo’s employees has largely been delegated to the Customer and Competence Centres and all their respective managers. As Gunnebo has a decentralised organisation, responsibility and decision-making authority are delegated down in the organisation in many areas. This also means that many employees are involved in making important decisions, and also that tasks are becoming broader and more qualified. Parallel to this, the need for qualified managers with international experience is becoming more marked in line with Gunnebo’s rapid expansion.
In order to meet this need, the company started Gunnebo Academy in May 2002. Gunnebo Academy is a programme to support the Group's operations by focusing on the competence development. The aim is to improve the competence level and promote the integration between Group companies by creating networks and to learn more about the Group's business, products and solutions, but also to share experiences. Another purpose of the Gunnebo Academy is to develop the managers' possibilities to lead and development their employees in a successful way.
