Gunnebo UK Ltd successfully won the tender to supply, deliver and install two lanes of SpeedStile FL’s at a Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge.
SDC initially contacted Gunnebo to provide a line of security that will prevent unwanted guests entering the building in the reception area. As there was little information given, the appointed sales representative Paul Wakeling presented the client a tender with two options, as Paul comments:
“During a site meeting we were advised that the end user had requested SDC to approach us for a quotation as they know Gunnebo UK Ltd. During discussions with SDC we were presented with only drawings from the architect and no specification to use, we submitted a quotation with options for two alternative SpeedStile designs.”
Once the tender was issued there was a change in the requirements of the project and Paul had to amend and re-submit his tender in order for Gunnebo to be considered in the final selection process. Despite the late changes, the new tender was successful and an order was placed, as Paul highlights:
“Our new revised quotation was submitted the next day and a few weeks later an order was given to us by SDC as our price had been extremely competitive and the product design met with the exact specification the end user and architect were looking for.”
The installation process was triumphant and Gunnebo maintained their high level of standards throughout the project, as Paul Wheeler, the Project Manager comments:
“All parties involved with this project worked together in the usual Gunnebo professional manner along with SDC, to continue to achieve the high standard of end result as seen here.”
After a site visit to see the completed reception area as Paul Wakeling concludes:
“This is the first installation of these units in the Anglia Region as a high majority of SpeedStile FLs are installed in the London area, and as the Sales Executive for the region I am very pleased with the finished project as the SpeedStile design selected suits the reception and surrounding area perfectly.”
