About the role:

Within the Entrance Control division of the Gunnebo group, the role of the IT department is to ensure the proper functioning of the IT infrastructure and find IT solutions that meet business needs in compliance with Group policies.

 

Working within the IT department in local offices, the candidate will be responsible for verifying the correct functioning of the company's IT systems, collaborating closely with the IT & IS Manager in the management of local and group IT projects and providing support to users when not covered by Group IT support.

 

Workplace: Gunnebo Entrance Control S.p.A., Lavis, Italy

 

Duration: This is permanent full time position

 

Reporting to: This position reports to the IT&IS Manager based in Lavis.

 

What you will do:

  • Knowledge of server operating systems management, networking, backup software, exchange of operational information, updating of technical documentation.
  • Manages the corporate client part: problems related to local applications, printers, operating hardware, interface with the server part.
  • Maintains contacts with local suppliers regarding technological aspects (fixed telephony, mobile telephony, system part, etc.).
  • Supports the IT&IS Manager in the coordination of activities with internal colleagues, also from the other offices of the group, and with consultants to complete projects.
  • Coordinates with the IT &IS Manager for the management of standardization projects in order to optimize costs and obtain a better administration of IT systems.
  • Analyze internal security aspects.
  • Consolidate IT infrastructures by centralizing services and standardizing the types of servers and devices used.

 

Who we are looking for:

Experience:

Possibly a minimum experience of 2 years in similar positions

 

Knowledge / Education:

  • Diploma in computer science or similar, Degree is a plus
  • Good knowledge of English, spoken and written (B2 level)
  • Industry-specific knowledge of IT Support and Administration
  • Availability for Transfers in Italy and Abroad

 

Competences:

  • Problem Solving skills
  • IT Project Management
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Used to work structured and organized
  • Relates well to people at all levels
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, quickly reacting to sudden change of priorities and deadlines or new tasks
  • Available for short business trips a few times a year, inside and outside Europe
