Business Development Manager Mass Transit, Malaysa
BDM is responsible for the growth of Mass Transit Sales across their defined territory through direct engagement with Global Key Accounts, End customers and supporting regional sales activities as the market expert.
Promote Gunnebo EC Mass Transit Products throughout the region. This will be achieved by developing relationship with major System Integrators and other stakeholders. This building of relationship will be done directly when no Gunnebo Sales Company is in place or through the relevant Gunnebo Sales Company with the support and communication to the designated Sales Manager.
BDM will be responsible to execute the global strategy as well as develop local targeted strategies per region or country in conjunction with the relevant Sales Manager and Sales company.
You are an ambassador to both SCs and Mass Transit Stakeholders in terms of support and market needs.
What You Will Do
Create close contact and effective communication with all relevant personnel within the SCs through Sales Managers or external Mass Transit stakeholders
Have a full understanding of their structure, overall strategy, sales and the influential people, structured in a customer file
Promote regular meetings with SCs, External Mass Transit Stakeholders and influencers to promote Mass Transit offers
Set up a business development strategy (“Micro Business Plan”) with defined targets by region, product and market segment, including a prioritization as well as a clear strategy regarding routes to market
Review the agreed strategy and assess the progresses made against the targets on a regular basis
Put together comprehensive and competitive tenders, including sales arguments and graphical presentation using the support of the Mass Transit Project teams for technical feasibility studies, costing estimation and manufacturing planning estimation.
To provide follow up on order regarding special design evolution,
To provide in depth and structured material for market segment application of the offer through:
Gather intelligence on new and future requirements, provided by the local contacts
Specialisation / Customisation of solutions
Product Evolution or Development – feed information to our R&D teams.
Marketing & Communication (in collaboration with Marketing Department)
Quarterly and yearly reporting
Updating and maintaining the customer and competitor database
What you will have:
Demonstrable experience of working in the access control Industry (technical or sales or managerial) with a solid working knowledge of security solutions
A team player with an eagerness to learn.
A strong network in the commercial properties and institutional verticals
A proven background utilizing a consultative / solution sales approach strategy.
Proven ability to network, prospect and convert new clients and build strong relationships.
Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand the client’s business, processes, and objectives that will translate into effective solution propositions.
The ability to work under pressure, work independently, and persevere.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, negotiation, and customer service skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software packages and overall computer skills and a preference with Dynamics 365.
Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Fluent in English and Malay
