About The Role: Sales Support Engineer
The role is for a permanent full-time position and will be assigned at the Gunnebo Middle East office in Dubai Airport Free Zone. The Sales Support Engineer will work closely with the Country Manager for Entrance Control and work with customers, contractors and designers to drive the sales of Gunnebo’s Entrance Control and Perimeter Protection products and services.
The primary role of this position is to manage, coordinate and prepare requirements for specific projects. This position is accountable for learning the company’s products, pricing processes and industry knowledge. The sales support engineer should have knowledge of the local market, market segment strategies, customers and business philosophy and processes/procedures.
In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the ability to interpret customer requirements/scope, match products to customer specifications/drawings and ensures that the quote is technically compatible. He or She should be able to utilize commercial and technical knowledge to assist with the preparation of quotations and must be able to develop and maintain quotation follow up database.
What You Will Do:
As a Sales Support Engineer, you will proactively maintain an ongoing relationship with selected customers and sales staff, particularly those focused on technical applications of the product or service. You may be required to also visit client or job sites to provide solutions and identify opportunities.
You will also be expected to receive and process complex customer orders, inquiries, and/or complaints covering items or products ordered, and supports customers through specialized technical or scientific knowledge/product applications. Other responsibilities will also include but will not be limited to:
- Provide pricing, availability, and schedule information within established guidelines.
- Checks and approves credit within established limitations and confirms orders.
- Researches and obtains resolution of a variety of customer complaints and issues.
- Tracks order activity and alerts appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems. Expedites the delivery of selected orders.
- Resolves technical difficulties and issues with the customer.
Who we are looking for:
Experience:
- At least 3 Years of Experience in the Pre Sales
- Knowledgeable in physical security field
- Experience in preparation for Tender Documentation
Knowledge / Education:
- Electronics & Communications Diploma/Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Basic Knowledge in AutoCad
- Advantage in having a valid UAE driver’s license
- Fluent in English both written and oral. Must be a native/fluent in Arabic. Russian is a plus.
