Gunnebo is behind an innovative new private security service for storing valuables
Gunnebo’s automated deposit system SafeStore Auto is behind an innovative new business model for private security services in central Europe.
In the Czech capital Prague, 24SAFE offers self-service access to automated safe deposit lockers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
At the heart of the service is SafeStore Auto. Identifying themselves through biometric and chip-and-pin technology, customers access their valuables automatically from their personal safe deposit locker inside the SafeStore Auto machine.
There is growing demand in various geographies for a service such as this. 24SAFE’s vision was to set themselves apart from the competition and essentially re-invent the business of safe deposit lockers, which is traditionally provided by banks.
“We decided to choose Gunnebo as a partner due to their excellent international reputation in planning, building and installing automated safe deposit locker solutions that provide the highest level of security currently achievable,” says Petr Thomson, CEO of 24SAFE.
The full solution comprises two SSA Maxi, each with three exit units, giving six customer terminals in total. The associated strong room is certified by the ECB, the European agency for security certification, to meet the security requirements of a central bank vault. With a capacity of 13,726 boxes serviced by six robots, it is Gunnebo’s largest ever SafeStore Auto installation to date.
This innovative service offers customers a modern, efficient and functional user experience, 24/7 accessibility, and the highest level of security.
