Gunnebo publishes 2024 Sustainability Report

Voluntary adoption of EU reporting standards underscores company’s commitment to long-term sustainable impact
Gunnebo Group has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, which for the first time includes a Sustainability Statement prepared in line with the incoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
This step, featured in the report entitled “Our Journey to a Safe and Sustainable Tomorrow” marks a pivotal moment in Gunnebo’s sustainability journey. It reflects both a proactive approach to regulatory readiness and a deeper integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into its business strategy.
“In line with our ambition to prioritise and accelerate our approach to sustainability and contribute meaningfully to a resilient and responsible future, we are embedding sustainability into the heart of our business,” said Stefan Syrén, President and CEO of Gunnebo Group. By aligning with the CSRD today – before it becomes a legal requirement – we are taking ownership of our sustainability journey and demonstrating our commitment to responsible leadership.”
Although not yet mandatory, Gunnebo has voluntarily chosen to set a high bar for transparency, accountability, and future-focused governance, all in line with CSRD.
Fredrik Fors, General Counsel and SVP Sustainability Gunnebo Group adds: “The 2024 report highlights the progress Gunnebo Group has made across key areas of its ESG agenda. Environmentally, we are starting to intensify our efforts to reduce carbon footprint across operations and we could already now see some progress while we all understand that this is a long-term effort. We are convinced that we can balance investments, decarbonisation and increased customer value in a way that this work is long term sustainable. These efforts are part of a broader climate roadmap designed to support our long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality.”
“Our 2024 Sustainability Report is a reflection of the concrete steps we are taking to drive meaningful change both within our organisation and in the broader communities we serve,” concludes Stefan Syrén. “Beyond preparing for future regulation, we are committed to creating long-term stakeholder value by creating an inclusive and responsible workplace, safeguarding employee wellbeing, and upholding the highest standards of ethics and transparency. These are the foundations of a resilient business and a more sustainable future.”
