About the role:
We are looking to reinforce the Lavis Operations Technical Department with a Mechatronic or Mechanic Engineer. Beside the typical design activities, the main mission of the position is to boost the Technical Department capability in understanding and transferring new products to the Lavis factory also by supporting Purchasing, Quality and Production in this process.
Reporting to: Technical Department Manager of Lavis Plant
Duration: This is permanent full time position
What you will do:
- New product introduction (technical drawings/BOMs/instructions)
- Design Customizations for Security Product Range;
- Participate in Value Engineering activities in a proactive and innovative way;
- Set-up BOMs in cooperation with Purchasing;
- Support Purchasing and Quality in Supply Chain Management and Development;
- Support Production & LEAN functions whenever needed to reach optimum Operational performances;
- Support other EC Technical Departments when required and planned;
Experience:
- Have at least 3 years working experience in a similar role in a structured Company
- Have experience with ERP systems (BOMs)
Knowledge / Education:
- Hold a University Degree in Mechanical / Materials Engineering (min 3 Years)
- Have a very good knowledge of CAD 2D and 3D (SolidWorks is a plus) design, MS Office and PDM environment
- Possess basic knowledge in automation engineering and electrical schematics
- Possess innovative Production Processes basic know-how (as a Customer), for example additive manufacturing, is also a plus
- Possess knowledge of metalwork design and basic knowledge of production processes (cutting, bending, forming, welding, finishing) in order to implement a sound Design for Manufacturing
- Be fluent in English and Italian
Competences:
- Be a Team Player and willing to deal with different departments in order to ensure Customer’s needs are understood and fulfilled
- Willing to learn quickly Company products is a pre-requisite to be successful in the position
