Trainees, teachers and Gunnebo colleagues meet online for the start of Upskill 3

Upskill programme has been a huge success for the company

Since 2021, Gunnebo has selected outstanding graduates to join us for a year, learn on the job and online, and challenge us with their fresh skills and perspectives.

Many trainees have stayed to work for us full-time and their ideas have made a real contribution to our business. At the same time, established Gunnebo colleagues have been developed and energised by mentoring the trainees.

In short, this graduate trainee programme, which we call Upskill, has been a tremendous success for the company.

The kickoff for Upskill 3 took place online earlier this month, when this year’s trainees met their mentors, senior managers and professors from the ESCP Business School. The ESCP is one of Europe’s leading business schools – it’s Master’s programme was recently ranked 4th in the world by the Financial Times.

“I am very excited about this opportunity,” said Nidhi Gowda, who joins Upskill in the UK as a trainee Product Manager. “I applied to Upskill as I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to start my career, learning from people with great experience and expertise.”

The 15 trainees will join Gunnebo in China, India, Italy, Sweden and the UK, while studying online and in London.

Amaris Hu, who joins as a trainee Lean Transformation Engineer in Kunshan, China, said: “This is definitely a challenging programme, and I am passionate about challenging myself. A great journey starts with a single step!”

Welcoming the trainees, Stefan Syrén, President & CEO, said: “Gunnebo is investing in Upskill because we believe in our future, and a key part of building that future is bringing talented people with new ideas into the organisation, to challenge us and help us develop – new skills, new competences, new directions.
